Unique Credentials
The IACCEPT accreditation program is unique from other child care accreditations because it includes emphasis on values, community involvement, and parent/center relations.
IACCEPT certification has three levels of certification proficiency: primary (basic), progressive (intermediate) and pedagogue (scholarly). This encourages growth and development for child care providers from the entry level to directors.
In addition, IACCEPT is one of the accreditation and certification organizations recognized in the legal code of Virginia and has representation on the Virginia Child Day Care Council (CDCC). See sections 63.2-1735 and 63.2-1738 of the Virginia Code. The CDCC promulgates child care center regulations in Virginia.
