IACCEPT was created to enhance the lives of young children by building and supporting professionalism for child care educators and programs without regard to a center's tax status or corporate sponsorship.

IACCEPT promotes the growth and safeguards the interest of quality child care and education in diverse settings. It encourages child development education, high standards in accreditation, networking of early care educators, support for parents, community involvement, and curriculum with an emphasis on values, positive parent/center relations, and support of community involvement.

Mission Statement

The mission of IACCEPT is to encourage a broad commitment to excellence in child care education through center accreditation and child care provider certification.

Goals

To improve the quality of child care and its programs; to improve the quality of training for child care professionals through certification; to strengthen professional recognition for accreditation validators and trainers; to promote train the trainer programs.

 

Magazine IconOur History

IACCEPT organized in 2000. It is a 501c3 charitable organization. International in its name reflects its concern for children and professionals from countries around the world. It was formed to provide opportunity for individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to come together to raise the level of competency and proficiency for those working with and caring for children.

The IACCEPT accreditation process is unique in its emphasis on values, community involvement, and parent/center relations.

IACCEPT is recognized in the Virginia legal code and has representation on Virginia's Child Day Care Council (See sections 63.2-1735 & 63.2-1738 of the Virginia Code).
